Brethren,

I just wanted to remind everyone that we are presenting the Golden Trowel Award
to Larry Kester tonight.  Dinner at 6:30 and presentation at 7:00.  This is an
open meeting and anybody can attend.  Please show your appreciation for Larry by
being a part of this celebration of all that he does for not just our lodge, but
Masonry in the area.

Fraternally,

Adam DeMasellis

Brethren:

I just want to get a final count of who will be attending so we can plan for
the food.  I appreciate your support.  Thanks.

The North Texas Masonic Museum & Library invites you to celebrate the 175th
anniversary of the start of the siege of the Alamo “The Shrine of Texas
Liberty” on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 6:30PM. The Museum & Library
will be hosting a black tie Table Lodge fundraiser to commemorate the 175th
Anniversary of the struggle for Freedom and Liberty in Texas at its historic
location of 1414 J Avenue in downtown Plano, Texas.

A historical presentation about, and toasts will be given to, the stories of
Sam Houston, James Bowie, James Neil, William Travis, and Santa Ana, etc.
You might be surprised by what you learn.

A Prime Rib dinner will be cooked, complete with toasting glasses, gloves,
and quality Texas spirits.  Tickets are tax deductible donations to the
Museum & Library for $50 each person and are limited to the first 30 people
to RSVP.   Please e-mail me to RSVP.

A 175th anniversary celebration only comes once in a lifetime!  We hope to
see you then!

The Conference of the Middle Chamber is a great opportunity for Freemasons, young and old, to join each other in exploring and unfolding the beauties of Masonic philosophy, history, and practice. Each conference hosts presentations, discussions, and panels selected from proposals submitted by Masons.

Topics for presentation and discussion will encompass anything with the exploration and progress of Freemasonry at its heart, including other philosophies and practices that perhaps bear some relationship to Freemasonry.

Brethren,

Due to the new blast of ice, and the fact that we do not have a candidate ready for this week, we will not be having lodge on February 10th.  I know many of the roads are clearing up, but the sidewalks are remaining bad.  We would hate to see someone get hurt trying to come to lodge when we had no immediate business.

Stay warm.

February Meetings Update

Announcements  Comments Off on February Meetings Update
Feb 092011

Brethren,

I was incorrect when I said that we would move our stated meeting to February
10th.  Grand Lodge law and our Bylaws give us the ability to cancel a stated but
not move it.  Therefore, there is no stated meeting for the month of February.

  • We will have called meetings on the 10th and 17th.
  • We will then celebrate Larry Kester’s Golden Trowel on the 24th.

There is also a table lodge at the Museum and Library on February 23rd.  I will
send more details soon.

Fratenally,

Adam
